  • Step-by-Step Installation

Unboxing and Preparation: Upon receiving your SoundPro X MIDI System, familiarize yourself with the connection diagram provided.

Step 1 – Prepare Your Accordion

Before starting the MIDI installation, make sure your accordion is in perfect working condition. Check the bellows compression to ensure there are no air leaks. Adjust and align the keyboard for smooth and accurate key action. Inspect all mechanical parts, buttons, and reeds to ensure they function correctly. Address any tuning or mechanical issues before installation — this will guarantee the best performance and durability of your new MIDI system.

Step 2 – Unpacking the MIDI Kit

Your MIDI system package should include: Right-hand system (keyboard sensors and electronics) Left-hand system (bass sensors and electronics) Control panel (buttons, display, and menu navigation) Volume/display unit Sound module (optional) All necessary cables and connectors Carefully check all items before starting. Installation Midi System on Weltmeister Stella

• Mounting the Base Plate:

The first step is to mount the base plate for the accordion keyboard. Ensure that there is a small gap (3-4mm) between the plate and the keys to prevent contact during play. Refer to Video tutorial for visual guidance.

• Connecting the Sensors:

After mounting the base plate, connect the sensors. Label any sensors that will not be used for future reference.

• MIDI Connection:

ATTENTION! Clean the base plate thoroughly to remove any flux residues and check for short circuits before proceeding. Connect the 5-pin MIDI connector to the base plate following the provided schematic

• Power Supply:

Connect the power source (+5V), which can be an external battery or power bank.

• Sensor Verification:

After ensuring that all sensors are functioning correctly, place the base board back onto the accordion. Attach the magnets to each sensor, marking the contact pole with a red, blue, or other color for easy identification.

After marking the magnets, we will place them as shown in the following image In this process, the base plate must be connected to the external sound module and the power bank, as you periodically need to check the distance between the sensor and the magnet.

• Display and Control Panel Connection:

Follow the connection diagram to connect the display with the control panel. After connecting the display, we will connect the base plate to the control panel as shown in the following image

Connect the potentiometer as shown in the diagram.

• Bellow Sensor Connection:

Optionally, connect the bellow sensor directly to the base board in the specified position (refer to the diagram).

• Pitch Bend Connection (Optional):

For those who wish to connect the pitch bend, follow the provided connection steps.

• Bass Section Connection:

To connect the bass section, place the wires under the mechanical part of the basses and secure them with screws as shown.
After connecting the wires, you will need to position it under the mechanical part of the bass and secure it with screws as shown in the following image

After mounting the board for the bass section, you will need to mount the sensors on the board, as shown in the image below

• Mount the sensors on the plate and attach the corresponding magnets to each bass note.

After assembling everything, you should have an instrument similar to the one shown in the image

Final Assembly and Testing
