Complete Accordion MIDI System — SoundPro X4
The complete accordion MIDI system from SoundPro X4 converts the right-hand keyboard, Bass and Chord sections of an acoustic accordion into programmable MIDI control. Dedicated sensors send performance data to a compatible sound module, SD-card sampler, electronic organ, arranger, keyboard or computer.
MIDI and performance control
- 46 configurable Main inputs for the right-hand keyboard
- 12 Bass inputs and 12 Chord inputs
- Individual assignment of every sensor input to any MIDI note from 0 to 127
- Independent MIDI channels from 1 to 16 for Main, Bass and Chord
- 10 banks with 10 preset positions per bank, providing 100 registrations
- Editable preset names, MIDI Bank Select and Program Change
- Up to 16 configurable accordion-register combinations
- 16 configurable hardware User buttons
The User buttons can control presets, banks, registers, transpose, octave, volume, Bass, bellows control, Pitch Bend, modulation and direct access to system pages.
Touchscreen and bellows expression
The color touchscreen provides direct access to presets, MIDI channels, sensor-note mapping, register configuration, User-button assignments and display settings. Brightness and automatic screen-sleep timing are adjustable.
Bellows expression supports center, pull and push calibration, minimum and maximum sensor values, three predefined response profiles and one customizable profile.
Configuration memory
Preset names, MIDI channels, note assignments, register mappings, User-button functions, bellows calibration and display settings are stored in internal memory. User backup, restore and factory-reset functions are also available.

Important: SoundPro X4 is a MIDI conversion and control system and does not generate audio by itself. A compatible external sound source is required. Mechanical installation, sensor positioning and wiring must be adapted to the specific accordion. Wireless MIDI equipment is included only when explicitly stated in the selected package.
Who is this complete accordion MIDI system for?
This complete accordion MIDI system is intended for accordionists who want coordinated control of melody, bass and chords from one instrument. The independent MIDI sections make it suitable for stage performance, studio work, arranger control and integration with external sound equipment. Each area can use its own MIDI channel and mapping, allowing the installation to be adapted to the musician’s repertoire and playing technique.
Installation and signal flow
The sensors and control boards are installed inside the accordion without replacing its acoustic mechanism. The system detects the keys and buttons, applies the stored mapping and transmits MIDI messages to the selected external sound source. Bellows pressure can be calibrated for the required expression response. A qualified installer should confirm sensor position, wiring, power polarity and MIDI connections before final assembly.
Related SoundPro solutions
For integrated sound generation, connect the system to the SoundPro X5 SD card MIDI sampler module. A compatible Fulgerton wireless MIDI receiver can be used when wireless equipment is included in the installation. General information about the MIDI standard is available from the MIDI Association.
Preset preparation and daily use
Before a performance, create the required registrations, confirm the MIDI channels for Main, Bass and Chord, and test every accordion register and User button. Save one preset for each required sound combination so changes can be made quickly while playing. This complete accordion MIDI system should also be tested with the final external sound source and amplification chain at normal stage volume.
